Recording: How Barrick’s Kibali and Bulyanhulu gold mines use Hovermap for stope mapping
Emesent partners, Dwyka Mining Services and Unmanned Aerial Services demonstrated how to capture shadowless, uniform, high resolution data for geotechs, mine engineers and geology at Kibali by flying a 150m high stope.
Emesent partners, Dwyka Mining Services and Unmanned Aerial Services demonstrated Hovermap at Kibali by flying a 150m high stope in May 2019. The Barrick survey teams needed to accurately assess stope stock volumes, without risking the safety of personnel.
Kibali is now expanding Hovermap’s use to scan underground silos by lowering Hovermap in a protective cage to assess silo condition.
